Sylcraft Studio offers classes in Piano, Keyboard, Piano Accordion, Beginning Guitar and Vocal and serve the Moxee, Washington and Yakima, Washington area. We believe that music is the one gift you can give that will give for a lifetime.
Sylvia Holtman is the instructor and owner of Sylcraft Music. 
She has been teaching for 30+ years and has extensive experience with children and adults of ALL ages.
Sylvia is also a licensed Kindermusik Instructor.

Sylvia is willing to travel to teach your children and will go to Sunnyside, Prosser, Grandview, Zillah, Toppenish, and other areas within a relatively short driving distance of Yakima, Washington. Many Churches will allow and sponsor this program in their facility. It is a wonderful activity for both children and parents. Summer Piano Jr classes begin in June 2009.
Private Lessons are ongoing on a monthly basis.
(NOTE: current private lesson schedule is pretty full so if you are interested in getting a spot pre register now or send me a note to contact you for more information. I am opening Mondays as a teaching day in Yakima starting Jan 1st 2009. There are some good times available after school but they will probably go pretty fast. Only about 10 spots available on that day.
Current Class Costs:
Private Lessons:
$55 / month (flat fee per month)Fee based on 4 lessons per month. 5th week in month is free if you make the rest of the month or used as a make up day for missed days. Times will vary on the opening available.
In Private instruction, the student has a 30 minute time all to him/herself with the instructor. They will learn to read notes, read rhythms and play their chosen instrument. If taking vocal lessons, the student will learn to breath correctly, read rhythms, notes and play simple notes on the
keyboard to help them understand the relationship between singing and an instrument. VERY valuable in helping learn the correct pitches in singing. When you involve the whole body in an activity you will process the information much better...
Piano Jr Group classes are $75 per 5 day camp.
Piano Keyboard Summer Camp Classes for ages 5- 6 years, 7 - 8 years and 9 - 10 years. This 5 day camp (usually done in 3 days one
week and 2 in the next) introduces your child to the piano keyboard in a small group setting with 3-6 children. Your child will be learning rhythms, keyboard geography and note reading using hands on games, rhythmic movements and other fun activities. Participants will learn to play simple songs that will set the foundation for future success on the piano. This is a great opportunity to try the piano in a fun, non- threatening setting.
We will have a recital for parents on the last day. Children will receive a music book along with the cost of the camp that will motivate them to keep practicing until a new group class starts again in the fall. Cost: $75 includes materials. Classes held in Moxee and Yakima Areas.

Ongoing Group Piano Classes: For ages 7-10
Sylcraft will be offering Keyboard group classes in the spring of 2009 starting in March. This group class will help your child learn to play in a fun setting with other kids. Classes are 45 minutes in length and the Semester runs 12 weeks with a 3 week break in between. Space for 6 only.students only. These classes are already open for registration.
Classes are held either on a Monday or Friday early evening (from 5:30pm-6:15pm) in the Moxee area (at this time.)
REGISTRATION:
Please note that for private lessons there is a $10 registration fee payable ONE time only so the first month is $60 total.
You may reserve your spot with the $10 pre registration fee and that will go toward the one time registration fee. This registration fee is Non Refundable. Please note this before you register ! This helps me make sure that my students are serious about taking part.
